MetroPCS Launches the First LTE Phone (Samsung Galaxy Indulge)

The Galaxy Indulge is the latest smartphone from Samsung and boasts some pretty impressive but not Earth-shattering spec’s.  The 3.5 inch touch screen/QWERTY keyboard phone runs on Android 2.2 and displays things quite beautifully on the TFT LCD.

The Hummingbird processor clocks in at 1GHz and should keep things humming right along unless you’re using the Galaxy Indulge for some serious computation.  The 1500 mAH battery keeps the bird chirping for quite a while unless you’re pumping out videos or constantly tapping at the screen.
The 3 megapixel camera is a bit disappointing and harkens back to the last generation of smartphones but it works well for what it is—keep that in mind if you don’t really need 10 megapixel pictures on your phone.
But probably to most attractive feature of this phone is the price tag.  Its available now for $399—without a contract!  (If you’ve been following the LTE hype, that means this Samsung Galaxy Indulge is actually the first LTE phone available in the US.  Data plans will run you $50 for 1 GB and unlimited for just $10 more—where’s the decision in that?
