Power-over-Ethernet All-in-One PCs from SkinnyBytes

Nowadays, many users prefer all-in-one PCs because they are lightweight and slim but the downside is that they offer limited hardware specifications. This latest PC from SkinnyBytes however differs from the ‘norm’ in that it boasts power over Ethernet feature.

We don’t recall seeing power over Ethernet PCs before so we have to admit that this PC seems quite refreshing. Company behind power over Ethernet all-in-one PCs SkinnyBytes points out that we’re about to see an entire line of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) all-in-one PCs.

According to the SkinnyBytes we should see variety of models that will feature 8.9-inch to 15.6-inch touchscreen displays. Since these models are powered by a single Ethernet cable and fully compatible with IEEE standard 802.3at there is no need for an AC power outlet. Great thing about these Power-over-Ethernet all-in-one PCs is that they are quite eco friendly because they consume 90% less energy than a standard PC. Besides that they are eco friendly they will drastically reduce your electricity bill because they aren’t using any movable components. In addition, these PCs are using passive cooling systems in order to save energy.

First model from this series is 18.5-inch PoE-185 that uses Atom D510 CPU, 2 GB RAM, integrated GMA 3150 graphics and SSD. Besides that, this model comes with standard features such as LAN, WiFi and 4-in-1 card reader. Price of this model is $999.
